| DDC Jammu holds meeting with BDC Chairpersons | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 4: District Development Commissioner Jammu, Sushma Chauhan today convened a meeting with Block Development Council Chairpersons of the district to apprise them about various initiatives of government and centrally sponsored schemes.
While welcoming the chairpersons, the DDC said that the elected members, Rural Development Department and the district administration need to work in close liaison and synergy with each another for rapid development of rural areas. She directed the BDOs to brief the chairpersons with guidelines of various major schemes and to hold one-to one meetings on monthly basis.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to maintain close liaison and coordination with chairpersons and take the development of the district to new heights.
The BDC chairpersons expressed their views and thanked the DDC for holding the meeting. They also raised various issues of their respective areas which mainly included road connectivity, upgradation of various link roads, electricity, water etc.
The DDC assured them that all their issues would be resolved at the earliest. She also gave on spot direction to concerned officers for their early resolution.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ACD Amit Vermani, DPO Sunaina Saini, BDOs besides other concerned officers of district administration. |
