School Education deptt staff for early DPC

JAMMU, Feb 4: The clerical staff of School Education department has demanded early conduct of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC).
According to press release, senior members of School Education Non-Teaching Employees Forum under the aegis of All Departments Clerical Staff Association (Ministerial Federation) Jammu expressed resentment towards the authorities of School Education Department for eradicating the future of thousands of Non-Teaching officials especially Clerical Cadre of School Education Department by adopting delaying tactics in DPCs since last 5 years.
The association has invited the attentions of Worthy Chief Secretary to Governor, Jammu and Kashmir to his directions regarding the matter, wherein worthy Chief Secretary said that "I am stunned to learn that in one of the line Departments no DPCs has been conducted for the past more than 40 years" and added that such a slipshod approach towards the employees is not only appalling, but Criminal.
The leaders of the forum Jagdish Thakur and others had showed great anger upon the functionaries of School Education Department and their unsympathetic approach towards the problems faced by the members of the Non-Teaching staff of school education department and said that despite repeated appraisal the authorities had kept blind eyes towards the plights of Non-Teaching cadre of School Education Department which is main cause of concern.
The association through this press release appealed to Lieutenant Governor, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, School Education Department and Commissioner Secretary School Education Department to kindly intervene into the matter and direct concern Directorate to convene the DPC of Clerical Cadre within stipulated timeframe to resolve the long pending issue of the cadre, besides to issue instructions to the GAD to chart out full fledged planning to resolve this training issue of Clerical Cadre of School Education Department at once for all.
