UDHAMPUR, Feb 4: The Yoga Society, Jammu Kashmir today conducted final round of Yoga Competition at Subhash Stadium, Udhampur.
Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla was the chief guest while Chief Education Officer, P.D. Sharma and Chief Medical Officer Dr.Kartar Chand Dogra were the guest of honour on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, the DDC said that the Yoga not only pave the way for coordination but also strengthen the bond of brotherhood by inculcating the patriotic spirit in the society to keep the young generation healthy and away from drug menace besides assuring the possible help for the cause.
Welcoming the distinguished guests and participants, General Secretary of Yoga Society, Bansi Lal lauded the co-operation extended by the district administration, police, education, health departments and sports council for organizing this event smoothly.
Around 29 participants were selected for participating in State Level Yoga Competition. |
