Delhi - 'Kattapa' prevailed over 'Bahubali'
Mahadeep Singh Jamwal2/11/2020 10:31:30 PM
"The politics in Delhi had undergone a transition and have changed the basis of politics and have paved the way for honest politics rather than politics of divisive agendas, false commitments, and hollow slogans. Delhi elections have established the politics of work rather than BJPs all time fodder served to voters such as: Article 370, Ram Mandir, Gali Galoch, baseless accusations, Hindu-Muslim card, sonnets regarding Pakistan, self praise and downgrading all others, emotional cards like 'Chaiwalla', 'Saint', Achche Din, and many more Jives etc." These opening lines were the concluding lines of my article 'Delhi Election Campaign - An analysis' carried as editorial in some of the dailies, and now the results of Delhi Poll have given strength to my views that it is the politics of work that matters and not politics of shackling the vision of voters on false propaganda always advanced by 'Bikau Channels'.
The calligraphy for advanced rendition of 'Bahubali prevailed over Katappa' is evolved from the Delhi UT elections that terminated with the outrageous breakdown of the BJP. The blockbuster movie "Bahubali", take us to the point where "Kattappa" as a loyal army chief stabbed Bahubali emperor of Mahishmati kingdom but in Delhi Elections, there is twist in the story. 'Mr. Modi' and 'Amit Shah' are both profound ingrained professionals of politics. Both are regarded as administrators of structuring governments by hook or crook, where 'Shah' is considered as 'Bahubali' of BJP for architecting governments. But here in Delhi, Mr. Kejriwal, in the role of 'Katappa', an honest, candid and strong chief to safeguard his party, shattered the lofty dreams of the 'Bahubali' of the BJP and delivered sorrow and dents on the so created invincible image of duo, Mr. Modi and Mr. Shah, and occupied the Delhi's cathedra as 'Bahubali'. BJP fully exposed that trickeries not always work. Here lines of Henrik Ibsen comes to my mind - "I don't imagine you will dispute the fact that at present the stupid people are in an absolutely overwhelming majority all the world over" but at the same time we must read 'Abraham Lincoln' that 'You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time' and Delhites have proved it by rejecting BJP as well as Congress during Delhi Elections in spite of the facts that Delhi voters just an year ago have sent all BJP MPs from Delhi to Parliament.
An interesting campaign was witnessed in new dimensions. 'Bahubali' of BJP Mr. Shah moved from door to door, all Ministers from Modi Government, CMs from BJP ruled states, battery of 240 MPs drawn from across the nation, Party President, BJPs national spokespersons, party's cadre drawn from all over India and even PM were desperately busy in brain washing and shackling the vision of Delhi Voters on irrelevant issues and all were busy in calling Kejriwal as 'Aantakvadi', 'Naxallite', Anti-National', 'Sympathizer of so called 'Tukde Tukde Gang' and what not. This hit back BJP badly like echo. On the other it was Kejriwal asking for Vote on development and safely peddled out from the booby trap laid by BJP by storming Delhi Voters like 'Locust Swarm Attack'. When BJP was aggressively raising the anti-CAA protests in Shaheen Bagh as a poll issue, the AAP was hard selling its development works. There is another message handed down that voters cannot be carried away on the strength of fake commitments, false promises, created silhouettes of development and uplift of common man, 24X7X365 propaganda through biased media and much brouhaha of its spokesperson in debates. The all time slogan of Modi and his coterie that he is the only 'Demi-God' for India is nothing but a monarchial approach than a reflection of a leader of a democratic country, and Delhi voters have shown them the doors that they are not the Demi-Gods but Demons for the common man. The people look for their basic needs such as: Better education, better health services, 'Roti, Kapda aur Makan' and Modi's schemes on these issues, silhouette in nature, failed to impact the Delhi voters and Kejriwal's approach towards these issues have impacted one and all in Delhi that is considered as 'Mini India' of intellectuals as people from all over the States reside in Delhi, work in Delhi and serve the Delhi. "You put the small thief in prison, but the big thief lives in a palace"- Graham Greene and BJP led government apply this formulae to establish its power house and has accommodated criminals facing Murder, Rape and heinous crime in its Ministry and yet claim its Government as neat and clean. With these developments, in the notoriety book of BJP to form its government by hook and crook in states, where it stand rejected by the voters, got a new page of shameful defeat that has been projecting itself as only 'Desh Bhakt' in India and rest all are anti-national.
The Delhi Polls have rejected the Hindutva philosophy of BJP as it tried to polarize the election on Hindu-Muslim tactics by keeping 'Shaheen Bagh' in the central stage. It has all the time moved in such a direction that has created feelings of ill will towards one particular segment of the society. Here we must take the words of RSS General Secretary Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi said on Sunday that the Hindu community is not synonymous with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and that opposing BJP does not amount to opposing Hindus. Hindu community does not mean BJP, and opposing BJP does not amount to opposing Hindus. This will give a great relief to those who do not fall in line with ideology of BJP and BJP used to brand them as anti-national.
Come what may the words of Shah to voters in Delhi that press the Machine Buttons on 8 Feb, in such a way that a heavy current pass to those sitting at 'Shaheen Bagh', in actuality Button current has not paralyzed Shah only but one and all in the BJP including Modi, Central Ministers, CMs campaigning in Delhi, National spokespersons of BJP and 240 MPs, who have tried their best to bull doze the Delhi Elections and now so paralyzed that not in a position to speak anything.
