IGNOU to hold 33rd Convocation on Feb 17

JAMMU, Feb 15: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will hold its 33rd Convocation on 17th February 2020 at the IGNOU Main Campus at Maidan Garhi for students passing in December 2018 and June 2019 Term End Examinations.
It is a matter of pride for the Regional Centre Jammu that as many as Ten Thousand Three Hundred and Thirty Four (10334) candidates under Jammu region have been declared qualified to receive Degree/Diploma certificates in the 33rd Convocation which includes 4774 Master Degree learners, 5158 Bachelor Degree learners, 378 learners of Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma programmes 24 learners of Certificate programmes.
Around 157 candidates of Post Graduate and Professional programmes who have submitted their consent online are being invited for the Convocation function at Jammu. It is a matter of pride for IGNOU Regional Centre Jammu that one of the learners of Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication (PGJMC) namely Hardeep Kour Bali will be getting Gold Medal for her meritorious performance in the said programme throughout the Country.
Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' Minister for Human Resource Development, Government of India will be the Chief Guest for the Convocation function at New Delhi HQs. and deliver the convocation address at the Maidan Garhi HQs. of IGNOU.
In Jammu, Prof. Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, will be the Chief Guest on this occasion and will distribute Degrees and Diplomas among the learners. The Convocation function is being organized in the Conference Hall of KC Residency, Jammu. The 33rd Convocation will be held at the Convention Centre in IGNOU's main campus at Maidan Garhi. It will simultaneously be organized at all Regional Centres across the country.
