JAMMU, Feb 15: Athrot organises screening of Har'ratri documentry on Herath known as Maha Shivratri at Jammu. Screening of documentry on Herath was organised in which youngesters were invited as guests from Jagtti, Buta Nagar, Gangyal, Bantalab, and Purkhoo to apprise them how to perform shivratri Pooja, Watakh Pooza booklet printed by Satisar was also distributed among the guests, the significance and historical background of Herath has been minutely described and elaborated by Sanjay Raina and Upinder Ambardaar, the programme was conducted by Kanwal Peshin who also threw some light on the importance of Herath from Ist day of Phalgun Mass known as Hurri Okdoh and other days, he asked youngesters to take lead and know about KP rituals and festivals which have been followed from 5000 years. Vote of thanks was made by Nimble Koul a young technocrat who described it as eye opening for all. We belong to a rich culture and we must preserve it.
All those who attended todays screening shall be deliberating with 10 KP families in there contact and this will make it a chain to educate all about Herath background, it was also praised that this year all KPs will celebrate this day on 20th Feb 2020 across the globe. |
