SAMBA, Feb 15: Continuing its drive against the Bovine Smuggling, District Police Samba has foiled yet another attempt to smuggle bovine in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.
According to sources, on Saturday during early morning hours, a Police Party of Police Station Vijaypur during vehicle checking Naka at NHW Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur intercepted a Mahindra Bolero load carrier bearing Regd. No. PB06AS-4629 which was coming from Kathua side and moving towards Jammu.
During checking of the said vehicle, 04 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were being transported illegally without any permission. All the 04 bovines were rescued. However the driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot taking advantage of the darkness. The vehicle used for illegal transportation of bovines was also seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 26/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 2/3PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started. |
