Jammu, Feb 15: ADGP Armed J& A.K. Choudhary felicitated JKP Badminton team for winning one Gold and two silver medal in 12th All India Police Badminton Championship 2019. The Championship organized by BPR&D was held at Central Academy for Police Training, Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh from 3rd to 9th February, 2020.
While congratulating the players and the team captain, the ADGP appreciated the hard work and dedication of the participants for achieving the remarkable milestone in the championship in parallel to their day to day routine professional duties.
The ADGP also instructed the supervisory officers of the police sports activities that pre-participation camps for practice of all CSTs should be properly devised and included in the annual sports calendar in order to shape & sharpen the skills and capability of the players in their respective fields of interest.
The felicitation ceremony held at Armed Police Hqrs J&K Jammu today was attended by senior Police Officers of APHQ J&K including Dushyant Sharma-SSP Staff Officer to ADGP Armed, Zahid Ahmad Lone, DySP Sports APHQ besides the Badminton Team Captain-cum-Manager Sanjeev Khajuria-SSP Commandant IRP 5th Bn and players who excelled in the championship viz Basanti Bhat Inspector CID CI Jammu and Kirti Sharma Inspector District Police Lines Jammu, Vinay Gupta Sub-Inspector GRP Jammu and HC Sukhdev Singh DPL Jammu.
