Samba, Mar 13: A multi-room spatial structure under the proprietary Banquet Hall raised over the 15 Kanal of state land was demolished during the anti encroachment drive.
Tightening the noose around the necks of land mafia, District administration, Samba today carried out an anti encroachment drive at village Pehkri, Tehsil Vijaypur, and demolished, The Banquet Hall raised over an state land. Giving details of exercise it was informed that 15 Kanals of prime state land adjoining the National Highway 44 worth crores was encroached upon and an illegal banquet hall was operating under the proprietary. The Revenue department after due verification submitted the report to Deputy Commissioner, Samba and ensuing today’s anti encroachment drive was carried out. During the exercise 05 JCB machines were pressed into the service and various structures on the encroached land was razed including main entrance gate, boundary walls, Banquet Hall, multiple rooms, parking area and other concrete structures.
The encroachment drive was carried out by a joint team of revenue and police officers headed by Sub Divisional Magistrate, Vijaypur C P Kotwal, besides tehsildar samba Avtar Jasrotia was also present. |
