| JMC launches sanitation drive against Covid 19 | | |  Early times Report
Jammu, Mar 13: In view of the current situation regarding possible spread of Covid 19, Jammu Municipal Corporation is taking measures to stop the spreading of corona virus by giving special focus on sanitation of the entire city and intensive thermal fogging and spraying has been conducted to sanitize the atmosphere so that the chances of virus transmission to others can be minimized to the extent possible. Directions have been given to Health Officer, JMC to conduct spray of Sodium Hypo Solution in the effected areas on war footing to keep check on spread of virus.
Besides, special drives have also been conducted in all the city hospitals of Jammu like Govt. Medical College, Bakshi Nagar, Sarwal Hospital, Gandhi Nagar Hospital, SMGS Hospital, CD Hospital, Super Specialty Hospital etc. The whole exercise is being done under the supervision Health Officer, JMC. Thermal fogging drive shall continue till the eradication of Coronovirus from the entire Jammu region. The special drives shall also be conducted in all the residential & commercial areas of Jammu City to keep control on spread of such virus.
Mayor and Commissioner, JMC also appealed the general public at large to avoid major gatherings in public places and make use of alcohol band sanitizers and masks as preventive measure to do away with this menace and also to extend their full cooperation to Jammu Municipal Corporation so that corono virus can be stopped from spreading. |
