NVS demands equal pay, free health card to Safai-Karamcharis

JAMMU, Mar 13: National Chairman of the National Valmiki Sena, Raju Chandel and Jammu and Kashmir State President, Rinku Gill have demanded equal pay and free health cared to all Safai-Karamcharis working in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a press conference, the NVS leader Chandel said that all the previous governments from last 70 years neglected sanitation workers of Valmiki Sena. Today only 6700 rupees were being given to temporary employees in the name of salary, which is not enough, Chandel said that the sanitation worker thoroughly cleans Jammu and Kashmir and is very sick. Today, many sanitation workers are such that while working in cleaning and filth, Khadi falls ill and cannot even get best treatment. There are many poor employees who do not even have their own houses.
Chandel said that few days ago we met the Chairman of the National Safai Karmchari Commission, Manhar Waljibhai Jhalaji and Home Minister Amit Shah Ji in Delhi on the demands of the Safai Karamcharis and submitted a memorandum.
Chandel said that the chairman of the National Safai Karamcharis Commission, "Manhar Waljibhai Jhala Ji, assured us that he will soon write a letter to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Girish chandra Murmu on the lines of Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Rinku Gill said that the sweeper of Jammu and Kashmir is very hard working and honest today, all previous governments have neglected our sanitation workers, but today we feel that the cleanliness workers of Jammu and Kashmir will get justice.
On the occasion, National Vice President of Valmiki Sena, Aditi Sharma, State General Secretary Ashwini, Gulzar Christ, Safai Karmachari, Mangga Mattoo, Rohit George, Jewelers Sotra, Razak Bhatti, Sunny Gill, SAMIM BANO were also present.
