Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 20: The Government owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) counter situated at High Court complex Janipur Jammu, established for collection of telephones and Mobiles bills of the customers, but the bill printing machine at this BSNL outlet is not functioning properly as the receipt get stuck in the machine and the customers who mostly are advocates are facing immense hardship while submitting their bills.
As per the details available with Early Times, despite repeated requests— the BSNL employee who are posted at this outlet found to be utter failure in replacing this machine.
The customers told the Early Times that since BSNL counters are very minimal in number and majority of the advocates working at various courts inside HC complex remain dependent on this BSNL centre and this problem persist since long causing inconvenience to the customers.
One of the employee posted in this BSNL counter when asked that why they did not apprised the Cheif General Manager BSNL in this regard— He replied that no body listen to them and ultimately they have to face the brunt from the customers.
All the customers who visited this BSNL counter slammed the BSNL for poor services added that they could not able to buy the new machine which is necessary— so that the customers get the receipt for keeping the same in record as a proof that they have paid the bill.
”I have to deposit the bill on account of official landline and mobile number— and I required the printed bill for reimbursement— this has become headache for not only me— but to general customers as well” said a government employee who had come to this BSNL counter for depositing the official bills.
He said that in official bills, the name of the connection holder must reflect for reimbursement added that this is height of callous approach on part of the BSNL. They said that they least bothered to replace this obsolete machine with new one and what to talk of other BSNL Counters— even the BSNL authorities don’t have any fear of the HC as well.
