2 GMC Kathua professors terminated
'On basis of their performance, conduct their services are no longer required'

jammu, Mar 20: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has terminated the services of two professors, who were engaged on the contractual basis in Government Medical College Kathua.
According to the Government order No. s 233 and 224- (JK) HME of 2020 Dr Aniece Choudhary and Dr Sudesh Chander Sharma stand terminated from their services forthwith.
The order No. 223 stated that professor Choudhary was engaged as Professor in discipline of ENT in Government Medical College Kathua on academic arrangement basis vide SRO-24 of 2019 dated 10/1/2019 for the period of three years or till the post was to be filled up on regular basis or till he attained the age of 70 years, whichever the earliest.
The order No. 223 further said that whereas Rule-4(2) of Jammu and Kashmir Medical and Dental Education (Appointment on Academic Arrangement Basis) Rules, 2019, provides that services of an appointee under these rules shall be terminable before the expiry of the tenure of appointment with one month's notice, from either side, or on payment of one month's salary in lieu of notice by the Appointing Authority; And whereas on the basis of the performance and conduct of Dr Aniece Choudhary the Government is of the considered opinion that his services are no longer required in the said College.
Similarly the order no. 224 stated that services of Dr Sudesh Chander Sharma, who was also appointed as professor on academic arrangement basis in the discipline of Orthopaedics, GMC, Kathua, are not required anymore.
