| 16 people in Handwara put under observation | | All six cases test negative in Tral | |

Handwara : 16 people have been kept under observation in Handwara here in North Kashmir following a woman from the town with acute infection was admitted at SKIMS.
Reports said that a woman from Beeripora Handwara, having travel history with Coronavirus like symptoms has been admitted at SKIMS a couple of days.
While providing information about the issue, Block Medical Officer Handwara, Dr Abdul Majid said that they have quarantined 16 people in ITI Handwara who have possibly come in contact with the woman who is admitted in SKMIS.
All these 16 people, both male and female who hail from Nathnusa and Beeripora of Handwara are under observation. “We have collected the samples of these people and sent them to the laboratory for testing. We are waiting for their reports and at present they all are in quarantine,” BMO said.
Block Medical Officer said that all these people have been quarantined for 14 days. He said the report of the woman from Beeripora is still awaited.
Meanwhile, all the reports of six patients from South Kashmir Tral town have been tested negative. Assistant Development Commissioner Tral, Shabir Ahmed Raina said that six patients with Coronavirus symptoms from different parts of Tral had been quarantined at two places and there reports have found to be negative. He said that situation is under control in Tral and people are being advised to stay indoors. |
