| Sikh orgs appeal community people to celebrate Baisakhi at home | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 11: Various Sikh Organizations of J&K under the Chairmanship of S. Sudershan Singh Wazir Chairman Sikh United Front J&K and S. Mohinder Singh Chief Organizer Bhai Kaniya Nishkam Sewa Society J&K and Ex Member DGPC Jammu and S. Darbinder Singh President Shiromani Akali Dal J&K and S. Kulwant Singh Khajuria Joint Secretary Shiromani Akali Dal J&K held a meeting on telephonic conversation raises the issues regarding the spread of covid-19, its control, monitoring and steps of safe guards.
As desired by Shriman Mahant Manjit Singh Ji Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch, it is decided to follow appeal made by Jathedar Shri Akaltakhat Sahib Amritsar Sahib that on the occasion of Baisakhi on 13th April as the foundation day of Khalsa Panth, the Sikhs will avoid gathering and remain in their respective homes and do indoor Simran and help in maintaining lock down.
Because coronavirus pandemic is spreading with a strong magnitude, so it is the need of the hour to maintain physical distancing to reverse the contagious disease. It is requested to the authorities who are at the helm of affairs in J&K UT to provide the adequate facilities /protection kits to the medical staff working day night in saving the patients of coronavirus .It is also requested to arrange more ventilators as there is apprehension of rise in coronavirus patients.
