Police adopt strict measures to maintain lockdown, law violators taken to task

RAJOURI, Apr 11: The Rajouri Police has been making all out efforts to maintain lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic in the district by adopting strict measures on the violators. Strict vigil is being kept by the police in various parts of the district after many cases of Corona positive were reported.
Several nakas have been laid down by the police to restrict the movement of people and only people with medical emergency are being allowed to move towards hospitals. “Routes towards Manjakote area has been totally cordoned off after being declared Red Zone due to number of corona positive cases were reported,” said the police official further adding that highway has also been closed.
People are taking benefit of helpline number given by police in case of need of medicines. “Police have been providing medicines at our door steps and only MRP is being charged from us,” said the local residents including Rajesh Kumar, Om Parkash, Kamla Devi, Sanjay Kumar, Vidya Devi and Ashok Kumar.
They thanked to police personnel especially SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli for his extraordinary efforts by providing help to the people during this distressed time.
“SSP Rajouri has taken many innovative steps to provide possible help to the people during lockdown period and keeping social distancing,” said Arti Devi, Mohd Arif and Mohd Shakoor.
