| COVID-19 :- RDD warwan distributed face masks among individuals of Warwan | | |  Early Times Report
Kishtwar April 16: Likewise in other parts of the union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, face masks were also distribution among people in this remotest and last Block of this montaintenous District Kishtwar which is still cut off from the rest of the world due to blockade of Margan top following snowfall in the area that mostly remain cut off during 4-5 months of winter season .
As per the details available with Early Times, the distribution of mask is going on with full swing and process is going on with active involvement of RDD officials and PRI members along with local administration at Warwan.
This initiative is part of various measures taken by the department for the containment of the COVID-19 virus among the rural population.
Block Development officer Warwan Din Mohammad Afaqi informed that RDD Warwan has roped local tailors for mass production of face masks to contain the spread of COVID-19 added that the face masks are made as per the set guidelines and all raw material is being provided to the local tailors for mass production of face masks and subsequently are being distributed among dwellers on top priority.
“We are ensuring the rapid production ,distribution and outreach of masks so as to achieve universal mask usage in this far flung and inaccessible area, “ he said.
Further, the distribution of the masks is to be made through Block COVID AMC & Panchayat COVID AMCs constituted by the government. Supplementary to this, awareness with regard preventive measures for COVID-19 is also disseminating among common masses by the officials of RDD and PRI members.
He further divulged that department is promulgating all SOPs with regards for containment of Pandemic COVID-19 and subsequent orders from District Magistrate Kishtwar, ACD Kishtwar and SDM Marwah espically looking after administrative quarantine centres and other assignments. |
