Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 16: While as positive coronavirus cases continue to pour in from Kashmir Valley, no case tested positive in Jammu region during the last 48 hours thus authorities got big relief in this part of the UT.
Cases were tested positive on Tuesday evening after that no case has been tested positive on Wednesday and Thursday. And more importantly, authorities in Jammu have identified contacts of almost all cases so health workers are optimistic over checking spread of the deadly virus.
Out of ten districts of Jammu province, there is no positive case in five districts namely Doda, Ramban, Reasi, Poonch and Kathua. One positive case of Kishtwar has already recovered and discharged from hospital.
Credible sources said that local authorities in different districts of Jammu have tirelessly traced travel history of most of the suspects so all those who were hiding their travel history were identified and tracked within a prescribed time.
Family members of patients investigated as positive last week were also tested negative so authorities got big relief. Authorities had sealed Lower Muthi a patient tested positive but his family members were later tested negative to restrictions were lifted.
Majority of the Coronavirus cases in J&K are directly or indirectly involved with Tabligi Jamaat. All district magistrates of Jammu had set a deadline to reveal travel history and those who had hide were traced by the authorities.
