DC orders closure of ATMs and banks in RZ, MMT for red zone areas in Kupwara

KUPWARA, Apr 16: The district authorities ordered closure of all the banks and ATMs that have been declared in red zone (RZs), Medical Mobile Teams (MMT) have been also constituted for attending to any medical exigencies in Red Zones, while as Handwara police books more than two dozens of people and sealed four shops for defying prohibitory orders in this border district of north Kashmir.
Sources said that the Deputy Commissioner Dr Anshul Garg has ordered, the branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Trehgam, Drugmulla, J&K Grameen bank in Bagbella and Drugmulla, Cooperative Bank Trehgam, J&k USB branch Mangiah And State Bank of India’s Trehgam branch have been ordered to closure since all the all areas are red zones.
“In addition, all the ATMs falling under red zones shall also remain closed with immediate effect,” said sources while quoting the order.
They said that the lead district manager shall act as nodal officer for ensuing mobile ATMs in all red zones from 10:00am to 5:00pm on daily basis.
“He shall coordinate with nodal officer to ensure daily fumigation of vehicles and provision of PPE kits to the officials to be deployed with mobile ATM vans, they said.
However DC further said that, Mobile Medical teams have been constituted for attending to any medical exigencies in Red Zones. Public may reach out to these officials for any assistance.
As per the order of Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, separate medical teams with strength of 6 employees each have been constituted for Red zone, Manigah and Muqam Shahwali.
The people in need of medical exigency in Red Zone Manigah can contact pharmacist Ghulam Ahmed Payer (7006355119) and Jagmohan (7889743028) while as people in Red Zone Muqam Shahwali can contact Pharmacist S.K.Jan on phone No 9906480277 or Pharmacist Abdul Majeed on phone No 7006108965.
Meanwhile, Handwara Police in its efforts to ensure complete lockdown across PD Handwara for the safety of people, despite clear lockdown orders of Govt and time to time announcements made by Handwara Police via loud speakers.
Today 28 more persons have been booked and 04 Shops Sealed by Handwara Police in its jurisdictional Police Stations for violating the orders issued U/s 144 CrPC, said sources.
They said that, once again people of Handwara are requested to follow Govt advisories/orders so that this deadly virus COVlD-19 could be controlled.
