Early Times Report

Jammu, April 16: Power Employees and Engineers Coordination committee in a hand out issued here appreciates the Exemplary services being rendered by the technical staff right from a daily rated worker to every Engineer working on the field to ensure uninterrupted service during these tough times and working relentlessly as a Fighting corona warrior. The PEECC wishes to appreciate Junior Engineers Er.Romesh Kumar,STD-I, Sushma Parihar,ED-III, Vandana Manhas,JKPTCL and Er.Amit Kotwal , Sakshi Attri and their staff members who put in exemplary service during past few days in this atmosphere when everyone is reluctant to step out from home.
In a exemplary service, Romesh Kumar,Junior Engineer traced the tough fault of Puncturing of 33KV Pin insulator and Disc Insulator on the most essential 33KV medical line feeding the Medical college and super speciality yesterday. During the restoration period the engineer managed alternate supply for the uninterrupted supply to the essential feeder and restored power within shortest possible time.
In another spot Sushma Parihar, Junior Engineer laid complete LT infrastructure which included twelve LT PCC poles and allied accessories and provided source of uninterrupted power supply to the Quarantine center established at Bhalwal. Vandana Manhas ,Junior Engineer ,JKPTCL exhibited prompt response and located the 132KV Disc Insulator which was creating problem and replaced it on priority ,which if not have been addressed would have led to failure of power supply from 132/66KV Samba Grid. In another applaudable service,
Er. Amit kotwal Junior Engineer replaced the 33KV Bush of the 10 MVA Power Transformer at 3x10MVA Roop Nagar receiving station within an hour to ensure that essential services don’t suffer and public at large is not put to inconvenience,
Another classic example of meritorious service under such conditions is being displayed by Sakshi Attri who is posted in one of the RED Zones Block Tikri Udhampur wherein she has got the distribution transformers repaired at sites itself rather than sending them to far off workshops to save time and reduce movement and involvement of more staff.
PEECC strongly believes that Power development department staff under leadership of M.Raju Secretary to Govt.PDD, is doing wonderful job and joining hands with administration in the fight against Corona.
