School Education Deptt shows disregard to two reminders of CS

Jammu, May 7: Despite giving two reminders to School Education Department by Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory for conducting pending Department Promotion Committees (DPCs) and regularization of incharge lectures and officers, the concerned department has failed to comply with the directions till date. Sources told Early Times that in a recent meeting which held under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Government GC Murmu wherein the Chief Secretary BVR Subramanayam asked the Principal Secretary School Education to complete the DPC process at all levels at the earliest.
They further said that there are around 11, 000 incharge lectures and officers of various carders including incharge headmasters, ZEOs, incharge Principals, CEOs and Joint Directors, whose regularization has been lying pending since years. “Although time and again directions were issued to School Education Department as per order No:-115 GAD of 2019 dated 23-1-2019 to initiate process to regularize them and conducting of pending DPCs but concerned department didn’t take the matter seriously,” they alleged.
They further informed the directions were also issued last year to complete the DPC process till 30-4-2019 then 30-6-2019, which department miserably failed to do so. “Last year GAD issued an order in which it was referred that directions of Chief Secretary during course of Committee of Secretaries (CoS) meeting held on April 1, 2019 and Communication No. AS/GAD/Mtg/2018/1211-43 dated 9/1/2019 and Communication No. AS/GAD/Mtg/2018/1211-42 dated 27/11/2018, to conduct all pending DPCs by 30th April. 2019 and complete all pending Regular Department Action/ inquiries by 30th April. 2019,” they informed. Even the action taken report in this regard was also asked to share with the GAD for perusal of the Chief Secretary, by the department.
