| DIG Udhampur appreciates role of media during lockdown | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 8: Deputy Inspector General Udhampur range Sujit Kumar Singh appreciated the role of media to create awareness among the people about COVID-19 through their newspapers.
While talking to Early Times, DIG Sujit Kumar lauded the contribution of media persons to track the travel history of many people, who entered Jammu without informing the administration about their arrival, which could have proved very fatal as any infected person due to COVID-19 can make other infected also.
He said that 50 FIRs were lodged against the persons for violating the lockdown so that it could create some fear among the people for not to come out during this period. He appreciated all officers for their hard work to make lockdown successful.
Meanwhile, SSP Udhampur, Rajive Panday appealed the general public to cooperate with administration and police to make lockdown successful to win war against the COVID-19.
“As we know that we have entered into state-3 of COVID-19 and now we need to be more vigil” he said. |
