| PMGSY officials continue at same place, post for years together | | |  Ashwani Sharma

Udhampur, May 8: A Junior and a Senior Assistant working with PMGSY here are continuing at same place on same post for the last 14 yrs while others got transferred and posted many times. Sources informed that these officials are from ministerial staff of PMGSY divison Udhampur wherein the Senior Assistant is continuing for the last 14 years while the Junior Assistant for the last 9 years. Sources informed that the Senior Assistant was transferred to Ramban a year back by the then Chief Engineer PMGSY JKRRDA jammu but he did not join the new place of posting due to his links with the higher-ups in the department
Sources further informed that in the meantime several JEs and AEEs were promoted and transferred from but these ministerial staffers continue work in the same office raising the eyebrows.
“Is it that none else can do the work these officials are doing,” some sections in the office commented. When contacted the concerned Chief Engineer Manzoor Hussain said that sometimes it happens due to scarcity of staff.
On not joining the new place of posting by the Senior Assistant he said that he will look into the matter. |
