Surrender or get killed
5/9/2020 12:01:50 AM
With the elimination of one more self-styled Hizbul commander, Riyaz Naikoo, in an encounter with the security forces in south Kashmir’s Bijbehara area, one more chapter in Kashmir terrorism has been closed. Kashmiri youth, who were made to believe by the fanatics and radicals that picking up the gun will bring Azadi, are getting killed one by one as they have chosen death over life.
Recently, Lieutenant Governor’s Advisor, Farooq Khan, stated that the operations against the terrorists will be intensified in coming days and he once again asked the local terrorists to give up arms and surrender. But the terror bosses sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) will never allow the terrorism to end in Kashmir as they are using these youth as canon-fodder. The outbreak of COVID-19 has led to these terrorists being given a silent burial far off from their native villages, as the henchmen of terrorists used to take advantage of their funerals to recruit locals into the ranks of ultras. As on date, the recruitment in terror ranks has declined as the locals seem to have realized that gun is no solution and they cannot fight the security forces. The propaganda, which was unleashed by Pakistan stooges like Hurriyat and other separatists, has almost fizzled out as these notorious elements have been cut to size. Most of the separatists are in jails and the ones who are out are maintaining silence as they know that if they open their mouth they will end up in a trouble. Government of India’s policy about zero tolerance towards terrorism and terrorists seems to be paying off. Soon after the COVID-19 pandemic gripped J&K, the terrorists tried to intensify the attacks on security forces and started killing civilians to keep the pot boiling. They didn’t show any concern towards the sufferings of people and carried on with the task which was assigned to them by their bosses sitting on the other side. But the retaliatory action of the security forces has once again sent them into the rat holes from where they had emerged to unleash terror amid the outbreak of the pandemic. Their so-called belief that they would get a free run amidst the pandemic has been shattered as the security forces have broken their backs and are out to get them. If local terrorists continue to dance to the tunes of their bosses sitting in Pakistan, they will meet the same fate which Burhan Wani, Riyaz Naikoo and others have met in the past.
