GMCH Administration honours Head Matron on Int’l Nurses Day 2020

Jammu, May 12 : On the occasion of International Nurses Day 2020 today, a special tribute was given to Florence Nightingale while maintaining social distance, under the aegis of Associated Hospitals‘ Administration, wherein Amit Sharma, Administrator Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals Jammu termed and saluted the Nursing staff as the real warriors, especially in this ongoing crucial fight against deadly Covid-19 virus conditions which are prevailing this year. The Principal GMC Jammu Nasib Chand Digra and his team today recalled the matchless contributions of Nurses from time to time in all departments and wished them well for the future.
Administrator Amit Sharma crowned Head Matron Mehmooda Bano and honoured Nursing heroes while acknowledging the relentless efforts of Nursing community not only here and everywhere in the Union Territory but in the entire globe. He also mentioned that that this is a sheer co-incidence that this year is the 200th birthday of Florence Nightingale, who is considered to be the mother of modern day Nursing and these are the toughest and very challenging times for the entire medical world which is being led by its real heroes - Nurses who keep contributing 24x7x365 boldly without worrying about the big underlying threat from amongst Corona Positive patients.
Before culmination, the Nursing fraternity of Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals Jammu thanked entire Hospital Administration especially Administrator Amit Sharma for always giving a patient hearing and resolving their issues in a prompt manner and they also reiterated their commitment in performing their professional duties and maintaining highest standards as guided by luminaries of the Nursing world.
