DLSA launches helpline numbers to listen grievances of transport operators at Jammu

JAMMU May 13: Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Principal District and Sessions Judge) Jammu, Sanjeev Gupta and Secretary District Legal Services Authority Jammu took the cognizance of the problems being faced by the workers who are working in the travel sector due to the National Lockdown. The restrictions designed to curb the coronavirus pandemic that is by way of keeping the people at home, has brought all sort of travel both domestic and tourism to a grinding standstill and the sector that was the first to suffer the consequences of the crisis was the travel industry. He said as these are the most expensive times and almost everyone related to local domestic travel has lost their livelihoods in the current crisis, it was felt necessary to ensure that the transport daily wagers/workers do not face starvation or any health problems. Chairman DLSA Jammu, directed the authority to open helpline numbers where the drivers/ operators of auto ricksh, matadors plying in jammu District can seek redressal of their problems with respect to ration, medicines or any other problems.
In compliance to the directions of the Chairman, Secretary DLSA Jammu, Naushad Ahmed Khan established the following helpline numbers i,e 9622235781, 8492860240 and 7298440301, for the redressal of the problems of the drivers of the auto rickshaws and matador operators, plying in the Jammu District.
The local city transport operator in need of help are hereby asked to contact the following noted helpline numbers: 9622235781, 8492860240 and 7298440301.
