Early Times Report

Jammu, May 13: After government took stern action against some employees for spreading hate through social media, another group of government employees has become active and is allegedly provoking students to post anti-national content on different platforms.
It’s in place to mention here that some government employees and officials were taken to task for spreading hatred against country and furthering the agenda of separatism. Some of them were also placed under suspension. “In order to show their anger against the country, many other employees and officials are instigating college and university students to spit venom against the country on social media platform. Posts contain comments against, Prime Minister and Home Minister. These posts can attract legal action,” sources said, adding that these elements continue to carry on with their nefarious activities under the very nose of cyber police.
“Police and administration should take a note of the propaganda which has been unleashed by these elements and act against them. These cybercrimes are being executed from certain districts in Jammu regions,” said an observer.
It may be recalled that recently a Revenue Official from Udhampur district was suspended for posting objectionable posts against the country and a similar case was reported in Ramban District also.
“Two cases were reported from Jammu University wherein law students posted comments on social media,” he added.
Early Times had reported more such cases with the screen shots of the comments posted by anti-national elements in Poonch District but no action has been taken against the accused till date.
