EARLY TIMES REPORT

KISHTWAR, May 13: Taking strong note of posting provocative messages on social networking site-Facebook, the Kishtwar Police today detained a local youth for his alleged anti-national posts.
The youth identified as Ziyan Shah, son of late Mohammad Abbas, of Girinagar Kishtwar, was apprehended for posting anti-national posts on social media which included challenging integration of Jammu and Kashmir with Union of India, glorifying terrorists and targeting the Supreme Court for its decision on 4G restoration in J&K.
As per the details available with Early Times, Ziyan Shah was picked up by Kishtwar police this morning from his residence. Police seized his mobile phone which vindicated his anti-India stand as his Facebook page was found full of anti-national rant.
The accused also posted defamatory comments and contempt against the Supreme Court of India after it refuse to restore 4G services in J&K.
He also shows his anger towards security forces for releasing the dead bodies of terrorists after two days of delay and in some posts he openly challenged the integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the Union of India.
He had also threatened pro-Indian Muslim leaders like Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Altaf Bukhari besides referring officials of Jammu and Kashmir police as mass murderers.
Surprisingly, Shah’s late father was an ex-serviceman who after retirement joined J&K police and died in an accident following which his mother was recruited as constable in police department.
The accused according to the officials is pursuing BDS from a Delhi College under Prime Minister Scholarship scheme, which is benefiting hundreds of youths of J&K.
The anti-India stand of the accused has shocked many nationalist people who demanded stern action against him including recovery of the money spent on him by the government for his medical studies.
Ziyan was picked by the police team led by SHO Kishtwar Aijaz Wani following public outrage over his anti-national posts.
Various intelligence agencies are probing the reasons for his radicalization and his involvement in any other anti-national activity.
