53 fresh positive cases, 711 active positive cases in north Kashmir
20 persons discharged after tested negative in Uri

BARAMULLA, June 8: Fifty three active fresh positive cases were reported, 711 are active positive cases, and while 20 persons were discharged today in north Kashmir.
According to district wise positive cases, In Baramulla district, 33 fresh positive cases were reported, 482 are cumulative, 368 are active positive cases and 07 deaths have occurred so far.
In Kupwara, 11 are fresh positive cases, 350 are cumulative, 246 are active positive cases, and 03 deaths have occurred so far.
In Bandipora, 09 fresh positive cases reported, 224 are cumulative, 87 are active positive cases, and one death has occurred so far.
However sources from Uri said that, today 20 persons were discharged including 13 people of NHPC HEP Uri-1 and CISF were sent to Home quarantine from Administrative quarantine center NHPC Quarters Uranbua Boniyar.
They all were sent to their residential quarters at NHPC Gingal .These included Two families of CISF officers comprising 4 persons and 11 NHPC officials, said sources.
Sources said that they were served notices for strict 14 days Home quarantine at their residential quarters by Duty Magistrate Sub Division Uri Naveed Altaf.
He said Moreover contact tracing of 5 COVID-19 positive cases is being done they will be brought to quarantine. All patients already shifted to COVID hospital.
“Now COVID-19 positive cases were witnessed in Uri after a span of one and half month .We need to be extra vigilant and careful to maintain social distance and follow lockdown” he said.
They further said that seven persons including seven local and one non local NHPC employee discharged after testing negative from quarantine centre TRC Salamabad Uri.
In charge, quarantine center TRC Salamabad Uri Tariq Hashim oversaw their discharge and transportation to Jammu.
The group like all others before them was under medical supervision period and was discharged after clearance from doctors and health authorities with the strict directions to remain in home quarantine.
