SAMBA, June 8: Bad road condition of remote village Samotha in Sumb block of district Samba has become cause of death of a newly born infant alleged locals.
They said a pregnant woman Savita wife of Sohan Lal of Samotha village was suffering from Labour pain on Friday, she was carried on a palki by family members and locals to reach the hospital at Sumb.
But it took more than four hours us to reach the hospital due to bad condition of road from our village Samotha the villagers said,adding by then the patient got critical .
We have been reffered to Jammu hospital from Samba later which proved fatal for the infant.
Due to over exertion and delay in the treatment ,the infant died in the womb of the lady the family members alleged. People of Samotha have expressed their resentment against the concerned authorities for no facility at village or block level in strong words. |
