DSE-J allegedly transfers teacher of GHS Baryalta on behest of BJP leaders
Teacher punished for not obliging local leadership
6/15/2020 11:31:27 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, June 15: The locals of Chak Bariyalta in Ramnagar constituency of district Udhampur accused the Director School Education (DSE) Jammu of allegedly transferring a teacher, having an outstanding record, on the behest of BJP leaders.
The local residents said that the Government High School Chak Baryalta which has strength of 300 students is already running short of staff, adding that now with the transfer of a Master Grade Teacher, Bal Krishan, it has worsened the situation further.
“The Master was transferred to a school in Chenani constituency, which is 120 kms away from Ramnagar only because of political pressure,” the residents alleged.
“The local BJP leaders are behind this act as the teacher never obliged them and gave respect, which infuriated them, who by using their power got him transferred from the school and DSE Jammu played an active role in it. Although the teacher had very good relations with the students as well as with local people, which was not liked by the BJP leaders, who shunted him out from the school,” said a local resident Pawan Dev Singh, while giving a press conference.
He further said that at present all master posts are lying vacant in the school. “There were eight post of master grade in the school out of which seven are lying vacant. She made zero kms transfers but the dedicated teachers, who had no political approach were transferred in far off areas nearly 150-200 kms,” he alleged further adding that there is no one to hear the plight of schools in villages and accused the DSE Jammu of supporting a particular party. Had there not been a lockdown, all the parents including students of GHS Chak Baryalta would have staged a protest at the office of DSE Jammu. He alleged that the transfer business has been running in the School Education Department despite call claims made by the government to follow the transparent policy in this regard.
