Jammu, June 19: Chairman Sikh United Front (SUF) Sudershan Singh Wazir mourned the tragic deaths of two nephews of a COVID victim who died at Sidhra Tawi ground during last rites of the corona positive case.
While condemning the administration Wazir raised a question on the preparations and the negligence of administration which led three persons falling unconscious on the spot while wearing PPE kits and among them two nephew of victim were virtually dead on the spot and brought dead in GMC Jammu.
One of the relative of the victim also blamed the administration for not providing the family members accompanying the body with water bottles when asked for.
Later on Jammu administration demanded a detailed inquiry report from the officer who was in charge of the whole cremation process . Raising a big question mark Wazir said it is a case which require police investigation not an inquiry from an officer who was present on spot and was given the duty to supervise the cremation process. He further added that an FIR should be registered and a SIT should be constituted so that person responsible for this incident should be brought to justice.
Along that Wazir held that the two persons died were the sole bread winners for their families, so he requested Lt.Governor G.C.Murmu to personally intervene and should give at least one member of their family a government job and proper mechanism should be at place for cremating COVID patients with full respect and rituals.
