Book Hurriyat doves under PSA, cut them to size’

Early Times Report

Jammu, July 11: Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani saying goodbye to his faction of Hurriyat Conference has provided a chance to the close aides of the Hurriyat dove, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, to make an attempt to regroup to keep separatism alive in Kashmir.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, “It appears that these elements want to don Geelani’s mantle and send a message to their handlers across the Line of Control (LoC) that they can replace him.”
He said these separatists were not arrested during the crackdown against the Pakistan stooges in 2019 and they were left untouched. “Now they are showing their real face. Administration needs to reconsider its decision and cut these separatists to size,” the analyst added.
He said, “It appears that these Pak stooges are running short of funds and in order to appease their bosses they are once again toeing anti-national line. They have once again started issuing statements and this can lead to such elements coming together again. This can prove detrimental for country’s cause.”
An observer said, “Bilal Gani Lone, Prof Abdul Gani Bhat and others reappearing on the scene is an indication that their bosses sitting across the LoC have asked them to restart their activities.”
He said, “If Mehbooba Mufti can be booked under Public Safety Act and kept confined within her Gupkar residence, why can’t these elements be taken to task and shown their worth.”
The observer said, “The government needs to send a clear message to these stooges that their activities cannot be tolerated and they won’t be allowed to set Kashmir on fire again.”
The observer said, “One fails to understand how come these stooges are allowed to hold meetings and issue statements. They need to be reined in before they stir the Hornet’s nest again. Life in Kashmir has returned to normal and these elements cannot be allowed to disturb the peace.”
He said, “The Hurriyat dove, Mirwaiz is under house arrest and is not issuing any statements directly but is asking his aides to remain at forefront.”
