| 2-years on, RDD officials fail to release payment of poor job card holder | | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Jammu, Sept 2: Officials of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department are not releasing the payments of a poor MGNREGA job card holder in block Palmar of Kishtwar District.
Officials seem unhappy with him due to reasons best known to them.
As per the details available with Early Times, the 34 year old youth from Palmar had supplied the material to RDD for various works executed in the area, but his payments have been stuck for the past more than two years as the RDD officials posted in the block seem least interested in clearing his dues.
The victim told the Early Times that officials are making him suffer for his legitimate dues pending with the department. He said that he is being harassed as he has told the officials he can’t make them happy till his payments are released.
He said that the rigid attitude of the RDD officials has pushed him to penury and his family is suffering. He said that in addition to this he also constructed a water Tanki under 14th FC and is yet to receive the payments since the angry officials didn’t port it.
The victim urged the ACD Kishtwar, newly posted BDO Palmar to look into the matter and get all his pending dues released without any further delay.
