Rotry Int'l appoints Rtn Sunil Sawhney as Zonal Chairman

JAMMU, Nov 9: Rtn Dr Upinder Singh Ghai, District Governor (2021-22) Rotary International District 3070 hailed elevated Rtn Sunil K Sawhney as Zonal Chairman for J&K Zone.
Rtn S K Sawhney has been responsible for the implementation of many humanitarian projects like "Gift of Sight", "Gift of Life" , distribution of relief material to the needy people in case of natural disasters and many more in the field of education, hygiene , tree plantation etc etc. Rtn.
Sawhney who was earlier served the Rotary International as President of the RC Jammu, Asstt governor RID 3070 and Chief Sergeant at Arms RID 3070 has been further elevated as Zonal Chairman keeping in view his immense contribution to uphold the ideals Rotary International in integrating the suffering of the humanity and helping the needy and poor people of the society. In the start of the present disaster of Pandemic COVID 19 he was instrumental in distribution of dry ration to the needy to the tune of Rs. 6 lacs besides contributing more than Rs. four lac to the PMCARES fund.
Rtn Sawhney doesn't leave any stone unturned in serving the society keeping the sanctity of Rotary International theme "Service above Self".
He has been awarded many times by the Rotary international.
Rotary club of Jammu has conveyed its profound thanks to the Distt Governor Rtn Dr U S Ghai for bestowing this honour to the Club, in a meeting held under the president ship of Rtn Deepak Baboo President of the RC Jammu. Rtn Harbans Singh, Rtn Dr Anil Amla, Rtn Prem Shankar, Rtn Dr Gaurav Vaid, Rtn Rajat Singh, Rtn Sat Pal Verma, Rtn Dr Navneet Gupta, Rtn D N Sharma, Rtn Ravi Kant Sharma and Rtn Aman Sharma were also present on the occasion.
Rtn Sawhney will serve the RID 3070 in 2021-22 under the dynamic leadership of Rtn Dr. U S Ghai as District Governor and Rtn Shekhar Mehta Rotary as International President
