JMC Mayor kick starts developmental works

Jammu, Dec 30: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation along with Dr. Akshay Sharma Councillor of ward no. 8 today conducted an extensive tour in the various localities of the ward and kick started the installation work of mesh fencing by way of fixing of MS sheets /view cutters on both sides of bridge at Old Rehari near Vishav Hindi Parishad office.
Suresh Salgotra ward President, Dr. Surjeet Singh, Raman Sharma, Bunty Kumar, Puneet Chawla, Bishan Dass, Raghuveer Kumar, Ashok Salgotra, Prithvi Duggal, Madam Sharda Devi and other prominent inhabitants of the locality as well as Vishal Kotwal Junior Engineer, work supervisor and other supervisory staff of heath section were also present during the tour.
Mayor told that although the transport/sanitation staff of JMC under the guidance of concerned Councilor is doing their job to lift the garbage /filth etc from this site on regular basis. But there is urgent requirement of some permanent solution to keep the area neat and clean & the councillor of the ward have taken keen interest & initiatives to start the installation of much needed work of mesh fencing with sufficient height on about 600ft length (300 ft on each side of the bridge) at this particular site with an estimate cost of Rs 12.50 lacs only so that no garbage, polythenes, filth etc & other waste materials can be thrown from this pulley/bridge by the general public and passersby towards the open area of school premises as well as residential locality and requested the locals to cooperate with sanitation staff in keeping the area neat and garbage free.
Mayor along with Anil Kumar Masoom Councillor of ward no.10 also kick started the upgradtion and beautification work of Rani Park Jammu.
Mayor said that this development work has been started with an estimate cost of Rs 25.00 lacs only.
