Jammu: Performance of banks reviewed at DLRC meeting

JAMMU, Dec 30: A meeting of District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) Jammu today reviewed the performance of Banks in Deposits, Advances, CD Ratio, and achievement under Annual Credit Plan for the FY 2020-21 for the Quarter ended September 2020.
The meeting also reviewed the progress under various Govt. Sponsored and Social Security Schemes.
The meeting was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Chander and convened by Lead District Manager (LDM), Jammu, Suresh Kumar Raina.
The meeting was also attended by DDM NABARD, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, AD Fisheries, District Coordinators of J&K Bank, SBI, PNB, JKGB, representatives of other Banks and Officials of other Sponsoring Government Departments/Agencies.
LDM informed the house that Banks operating in Jammu District have recorded Deposits of Rs.47,964 Cr. and Advances of Rs.14,559 Cr., as on September 30, 2020. The C.D. Ratio of the District stood at 30.35%.
The achievement of the Banks in the District under Annual Credit Plan 2020-21 stood at Rs.3031 Cr. against Annual Target of Rs.9763 Cr. recording growth of 31.05% as on Sep 30, 2020.
Under Priority Sector the Achievement by Banks stood at Rs.1793 Cr. against Annual Target of Rs.6830 Cr. recording growth of 26.26%, while as under Non-priority Sector the achievement was Rs.1238 Cr. against Annual Target of Rs.2934 Cr. recording a growth of 42.20%.
Under Atamnirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, 29685 new cases were sanctioned under KCC Crops and 13498 cases under KCC AH&F till 19.12.2020.
The ADDC took an extensive review of Government Sponsored Schemes with Special focus on KCC, PM SVANidhi, PMAY, PMEGP, JKREGP, NRLM, NULM, etc. He advised all Sponsoring Agencies and Banks to spread awareness among people about various Self-employment Schemes launched by the Government and motivate them to avail the benefits of these Schemes for generating self-employment opportunities in the District. He directed all the Banks to clear the pending cases Sponsored by different Govt. Departments/Agencies at the earliest and give a boost to lending, particularly under Agriculture & Allied activities, MSME, Housing and Education Sectors, to achieve a healthy CD ratio. He also directed the Banks to cover all eligible persons under Social Security Schemes viz; PMSBY, PMJJBY & APY.
The House also approved Potential Linked Plan (PLP) for FY 2021-22 presented by DDM NABARD for preparation of ACP 2021-22 by LDM.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by LDM.
