Prominent political activists from Hiller-Dooru, Bijbehara join Apni Party

SRINAGAR, Feb 1: Prominent political figures along with scores of political activists hailing from Hiller-Dooru and Bijbehara on Monday joined the Apni Party at its office in Lal Chowk Srinagar.
Those who joined from Hiller were led by Farooq Ahmad Bhat, a prominent political activist. Besides Bhat those who joined Apni Party included: Parvaiz Ahmad Maghloo (Sarpanch), Mohammad Altaf Koka (Sarpanch Mazmoo), Manzoor Ahmad Tantray (Panch), Abdul Salam Bhat (Panch), Abdul Hameed Wani (Halqa Sadar Congress), Ab. Majid Lone (Block Sadar Auqaf), Wazir Mohammad Bhat (Ex-Halqa President Congress), Ghulam Nabi Bhat ( ex- PDP Halqa President) and Manzoor Ahmad Bhat (Panch).
Another delegation led by party youth leader Tariq Ahmad Veeri from Bijbehara comprised of Mohammad Yaqoob (Sapanch), Bashir Ahmad (Sarpanch), Abdul Gani Wani (Deputy Sarpanch), Rayees Ahmad Gani (Deputy Sarpanch), Ghulam Nabi Mir (Deputy Sarpanch), Mohammad Ashraf Ganei (Panch), Mohammad Rafiq Bhat (Panch), Gull Mohammad Malik (Panch), Abdul Rashid Reshi (Panch), Mohammad Yusuf Dar (Panch) and other associates also joined the Party. The joining ceremonies were carried out in presence of Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, senior party leader and former minister Mohammad Dilawar Mir, Vice president Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, General Secretary Rafi Mir, Provincial President Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir, State Secretary and District President Budgam Muntazir Mohi-ud-din, District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad, District President Kupwara Raja Manzoor, District President Anantnag Abdul Rahim Rather, District President Baramulla Shoaib Lone, District President Pulwama Ghulam Mohammad Mir. Speaking on the occasion, the Party President impressed upon the new entrants to adhere to the party principles and leave no stone unturned in regards to the welfare of people at the local levels.
‘The people in J&K were unfortunately being misled by the traditional political parties by raking up emotive issues while neglecting their day-to-day grievances. Apni Party has however, from day one, pledged to work for the welfare of the people in a tangible manner. The very foundation of this party is based upon the Politics of Truth and the welfare of general masses,” Bukhari remarked.
