| KVIB organizes awareness camp under NSSH | | |

RAJOURI, Feb 20: An awareness camp under National Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) scheme was organized by J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) at Dudasan Balla, Rajouri today.
Dr Hina Shafi Bhatm Vice-Chairperson J&K KVIB was the chief guest of the programme and was attended by Divisional Head KVIB Masroor Ahmad Shah, Tilak Raj EO KVIB, Sameer Ahmad AD Planning District Officer KVIB Rajouri Ab Aziz Wani, Chairman of the Panchayat Parveen Akhtar, Sarpanch Zaheer Abbas, Naib Sarpanch Liaquat Chowdhury and Shrafat Chowdhury, a farmer.
The people of the area while speaking on the occasion demanded that the village should have an Agriculture building, a bank, a degree college and some craft training center so that the educated youth of the area can open their own income generating units. Expressing her feelings for the desperate villagers, Madam said that such a beautiful village is lagging behind for want of developmental programmes. She assured that KVIB is here to help the poor backward people of this place. She announced that KVIB shall commence a six months training center here for the pioneering female students of the area. She further issued on spot directions to her staff to visit at least twice a week in this area to disseminate the schemes being implemented by the KVIB. She assured the people of the area that she will take to the authorities of the Agriculture Department to provide assistance in starting orchids as the area has a high potential in cultivation. She also suggested that the maize crop is grown in abundance here and the villagers can make maize a source of income for them. |
