Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 27: Apni Party has said that there has been no scope left for talks with Pakistan as its premier Imran Khan has itself shut doors on the talks by laying conditions seeking restoration of Art 35 and 370 to be a pivotal point in furthering the dialogue.
Javaid Hussain Baig, spokesman, Apni Party said that PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti’s proclamation that India and Pakistan need to talk for settlement of issues is unwarranted as she seems to be ill informed about Imran Khan’s statement putting a condition on talks which has sealed all openings.
“Mehbooba needs to impress upon Imran Khan as she is closely associated with him and needs to remind him of his childish condition which has almost squeezed Pakistan into a hopeless situation and left India to ignore Pakistan for any talks,” said Baig.
Baig was also very clear on his statement about the unlikelihood of revisiting the massive exercise that Union Government of India did in abrogating the articles, nullifying local parties' claim to get it back .
“ Though nothing is impossible , but it should be clearly understood that a temporary provision took more than seventy years to go , how it could be permanently brought back which needs a greater parliamentary exercise having full majority of political parties in both houses allied with other constitutional amendments inviting seal of President of India ,” said Biag adding that all parties should have instead , requested the central government , as assured by Prime Minister and Home Minister on the floor of the House , seeking restoration of statehood.
The Apni Party spokesperson also took a dig at National Conference, terming it as a party without substantial base and said it plays the dual game of Kasmiriyat and Dogriyat.
“ At Jammu , Farooq and its ilk tries to woo people here trying to list that NC is the party of the people of Jammu and while in Kashmir , it turns to be saviour of Kashmiriyat. It has been the general character of the National Conference,” said Baig .
Javaid Hussain Baig , however said that his party is looking forward to the delimitation process to complete and hopes that soon a popular government will be elected for the people of Jammu and Kashmir . He said that whatever government gets elected in the UT, it have to work in tandem with the central government for bringing development here by ushering prosperity in the UT
When toed that there is a general perception that Apni Party is working as a ‘B’ party of the BJP, Baig dismissed the charge saying there is no A or B party.
