SRINAGAR, July 7: While addressing a massive campaign to stop suicides in Kashmir organised by Shugul, the chairman of Kashmir Society Khawaja Farooq Renzushah said that the creation of confused social order during the last seventy years in Kashmir responsible for Suicides in Kashmir.
The mayor of SMC, Junaid Mattu strongly pleaded for stopping suicides and involves youth in similar interactive sessions in all nooks and corners so that their concern is addressed.
He said that community centres throughout the city shall be devoted for this purpose. He emphasised the high & valuable contributions of psychiatrists, Writers, Opinion makers and Scholars be utilised for this purpose so that the scale of suicides is brought down.
The programme was organised in Bulbulshah Park near Zero Bridge on the shores of the Magnificent Jhelum River by Shugul headed by Imran Khan.
The activists of J&K Hindustan Scouts, White Globe, Civil Defence, Martial Art, Karate Associations, Media personalities, doctors, poets, Film personalities, spiritual music therapy groups had attended. Besides Above referred dignitaries, the Dy Mayor Parvaiz Qadri, Health & Sanitation Chairman of SMC Arif Raja, Corporator of Rajbagh, Shaheena, ShyakhShafi, Fayaz Rahi, Saqib, Mahajan, Mustafa, Simran, Arif Punjabi, Basharat Indrabi, and a large number of heads of various NGOs were present during the full-day event in the spiritual park of Hazrat Bulbulshah RA, shadowed by 11 Magnificent Chinar trees existing on Shores of Jhelum since Historical Revolution if 1321 CE in Kashmir. |
