Dealer denies ration to card holders, sells it in black

Kishtwar, Oct 23: The angry ration card holder who were denied ration by the ration dealer in Matta village of Kishtwar was caught the dealer red handed while selling the ration to non ration card holders.
As per the details available with Early Times, after being denied the ration to genuine ration card holders of the locality, one of the ration card holder allegedly caught the ration dealer selling the ration in black and accordingly brought the matter into the notice of Kishtwar police who assured action following a written complaint was filled against the dealer by the ration card holder.
Police officials told the Early Times that they have received a complaint against dealer Sudarshan Kumar son of Paras Ram Shan R/o Matta for selling ration in black market and in this connection that ration sell by him in black to non ration card holder who happened to be the resident of some other village and accordingly has initiated action action the erring dealer.
“We will lodge FIR after preliminary inquiry— such activities can’t be allowed to flourish” said a police officer.
When contacted Assistant Director CA&PD Kishtwar Ghulam Rasool Lone said that necessary action will be initiated against the accused dealer of proven guilty which include the cancellation of the license and assured that the matter will be looked into in accordance with the set procedure.
