DLSA Reasi holds series of activities to mark Children’s Day, end of PAN India Legal awareness campaign

REASI, Nov 14: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Reasi in collaboration with the faculty members and students of Government Higher Secondary School (Boys) Sunday organized Prabhat Pheri, here today.
Panel Lawyers and PLVs of the District Reasi also assisted in the holding of the event organised under the guidance and supervision of R.N.Watal, the Chairman and in compliance to the Action plan issued by JKLSA and also as a part of Concluding Program under PAN India Awareness and Outreach Campaign.
The Prabhat Pheri started from District Head Quarter Reasi after paying floral tributes to the Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, on his Birth Anniversary and culminated in the complex of Govt. Higher Sec. School (Boys) Reasi. The Prabhat Pheri was taken out amid chanting of slogans on Cleanliness and Swacht Bharat to encourage the locals to maintain Cleanliness in and around their surroundings.
The DLSA Reasi also celebrated Children’s Day with the students at Govt. Higher Secondary School (Boys) Reasi by organizing an Awareness Program. Another Awareness Program was held at Bus Stand, Katra wherein the common masses were sensitized by the resource persons about the role of Legal Services Institutions with special emphasis on the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987.
Besides this, Live Streaming of Valedictory Ceremony of PAN India Awareness and Outreach Campaign was also arranged for the common masses with the help of LED. Later, the resource persons translated the proceedings of the function into local language to make the common masses understand the message/spirit behind this 42- days long program.
The DLSA Reasi also distributed refreshment among the Children living in slum areas near Sports Stadium Katra in collaboration with Child Welfare Committee Reasi.
