JAMMU, Nov 14: Chairperson Women Club Meri Pehchan Sandhya Gupta said that she is proud to be a Dogra.
Sandhya Gupta said this while addressing a press conference at Mumbai.
She shared her knowledge of the Dogra history and made the people of Mumbai, who are connected to the Dogra history and belong to the Dogra origin, aware of the feats accomplished by the Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh.
She further enlightened the Dogra people of Mumbai regarding the importance of declaring a government holiday on the occasion of Maharaja Hari Singh’s birth anniversary.
The Dogra people of Mumbai encouraged the efforts made by Sandhya Gupta and said that they will support her and Women Club Meri Pehchan in their fight so that Maharaja Hari Singh’s birth anniversary is declared as a government holiday and also that they will further spread the feats of the Maharaja Hari Singh in Mumbai so that soon his birth anniversary can be declared as a government holiday in J&K. The people of Mumbai further welcomed Sandhya Gupta and said that due to her continuous efforts, the name of Dogra community and Maharaja Hari Singh can never vanish for the history of Jammu Kashmir and India.
They further appealed to the Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha for declaring Maharaja Hari Singh’s birth anniversary as a government holiday in Jammu and Kashmir to honour the great Dogra ruler. |
