Vijay Garg

A few years back, the daughter had to go out for coaching. Well, nowadays, branches of well-known coaching institutes have opened in every big city, state capitals. However, the matter of the main coaching center is different. They dominate the national level competitive examinations. Perhaps that is why most of the parents try that their child should study in head coaching only. Nowadays many parents want daughters to grow up like sons. That is why they do not hesitate to send their daughters to study in other cities also.
But till today thirty-forty years ago, girls were confined to the chulha-chowka. She was married at one age and then she used to take care of the whole house for the rest of her life. Since our daughter was talented, so with the aim of getting her the best coaching, she got admission in a recognized coaching institute. Also on his birthday he presented a transistor of Murphy as a gift, so that he could entertain in his spare time. Forgotten memories are associated with Murphy Radio. The same Murphy, whose ‘logo’ has a picture of a child. Used to come in larger sizes earlier. Later, they started getting smaller sizes as well. On the same we heard the first song- Koi return de mere past days….
According to palmistry, such marks are in the hands of rich people, they become the owner of a lot of wealth - property
Now the time has changed. But so much would change, no one could have imagined it. Mobile has changed its course. Every means of entertainment is available in it. And when the scenes of Murphy’s era pass before the eyes, it seems that the poison of this era is stuck in the throat. At that time thirty three marks out of hundred used to be necessary to pass. Fail below that boundary line and pass above!
Thirty-three days are gone. Now stay back. Now that number does not become a hindrance in anyone’s path. Nowadays ‘percentile’ is in trend. Statistics has a cryptic terminology. In some places i.e. in the declared good institutions, despite getting above ninety percent marks, one has to be denied admission eligibility. And now the limit is over. After the disaster of Corona, education has also become online. In the changing times, ‘Apps’ have arrived.
The image of coaching institutes and teachers is getting tarnished. I don’t know, tomorrow the school-college should be locked and the sound of the bell ringing after every period should stop. Otherwise, after the last class, there was a long wait for the late hour. To run towards the playground, the feet started shaking. As soon as the long bell rang, the children would run away with their bags. It’s like getting out of jail. Even today the bags got washed away in the flow of time. Ears yearn to hear the melodious sound of school hours and those playgrounds are deserted. Otherwise, children were playing kho-kho in the field, somewhere they were seen flying kites, and somewhere they were seen looting kites with bamboo or bat. Today those scenes pass in front of the eyes like a movie and a sweet song starts resonating in the ears – Koi return de mere….
Two-three years ago an ITI student came to me. A friend had sent it to me. He stood in front of me with a sad face. I was not able to pass ITI exam. He had a quiz in his hand. I marked the important questions to be asked in the quiz and he returned happily. At that time, when we used to study, this type of quiz was not in practice. There used to be only textbooks. Quiz is like quick enough. But he also passed the exam through quiz. Was so excited that even took admission in diploma.
But the same three leaves of the cover! Then he went Was entangled in the number thirty-three game. Couldn’t progress beyond first and second season. So he had made up his mind to quit studies. was discouraged. I encouraged him. Soon after, a complete ban was announced. Education and exams went online. Thirty-three became the number. He was sad with the marksheet in his hand. Got seventy percent marks. Said- Sir, nothing is going to happen from this. There are marks like failure. Now above ninety is considered close. He was staring at my face, but my attention was on the picture of the boy with Murphy’s logo, thinking something with a finger on his mouth.
