We care welfare society started free fruit trees plantation drive

Jammu, Mar 11: We Care Welfare Society (WCWS), started a new campaign "Backyard Fruit Trees Plantation Drive" for the benefit of under-privileged BPL families. More than 600 high quality grafted fruit plants were distributed free of cost, in two villages i.e Chabba (Aithem) and Manwal. Each family was given three types of fruit plants i.e Mango (Amarpali, Lime, Nimboo (Eurica) & Litchi. Earlier farmers were advised to dig a proper pit one metre x one metre size, for planting these fruit plants with mixture of well rotten manure & soil. Villagers have shown great interest and enthusiasm and large number of farmers gathered to receive these plants.
They thanked and appreciated this program of WCWS for free distribution of plants. While speaking to farmers, Prof M Sadiq Nargal, Chairman, WCWS, thanked Sarpanch of Manwal, Baldev Raj Sharma and Chander Shekher Sharma husband of Sarpanch Shobha Rani of Aithem, for making this prgramme a great success for inviting and arranging a gathering of farmers. He also thanked WCWS members who volunteered for this program and helped in proper distribution of plants. Dr R K Gupta, President and Rajinder Gupta, General Secretary, also addressed the gathering and thanked farmers for coming in large numbers. These members of WCWS Sudershan Gupta, Vice President, Women cell, Col G C Raina, Executive member, V K Sharma, Advocate, Executive member, Arvind Khajuria, D P Saini, Sanjay Sharma, Rakesh Arora, Seema Arora, Subash Jandial, Usha Gupta, Pankaj Gupta, S. Surinder Singh, Surjeet Kour, Shubhem Singh, Suhana Arora, Ritu Singh, V K Suri, Subash Gupta, Dhan Singh Saini and Krishna Saini participated in this progra.
