Water logged streets,roads in bad shape hit Batamaloo area worst

Jammu, Mar 23: In the heart of Srinagar city the Batamaloo area a hub of commercial activities has been hit worst by water logged streets and roads in bad shape have added fuel to worries of common people as government has turned a nelson's eye on their pleas and they continue to be the worst sufferers the locals alleged while talking to Early Times.
They said main road leading to General Bus Stand has developed many potholes and ditches which are constant threats to people who ply their vehicles on this road. Bumpy rides and traffic quaos due to dilapidated condition of roads is often seen and there is every possibility of causing any untoward incident anytime.
While looking at streets and other roads of Batamaloo area, we find every road in a bad shape besides water logged streets has been a common phenomenon of this area said the shopkeepers near bus stand while talking to this correspondent on mobile phone. If there is slight spell of rain the area turns into small ponds and streams, they further alleged.
The locals have urged the authorities and the men at helms to macadamize the roads which have turned into dilapidated condition and causing lots of inconvenience to commuters besides the people who have to ply their vehicles on these roads.The further delay in repairing these roads will prove disastrous as the area remains abuzz with huge rush of people and vehicular traffic all the time,some senior citizens maintained.
