Shiv Sena serves legal notice to Maharashtra Times, Lokmat for misleading news

JAMMU, Mar 23: Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit today served a legal notice to Maharashtra Times (Marathi) and Lokmat (Marathi) for broadcasting and publishing misleading news with regard to restoration of Article 370 on the name of president Shiv Sena J&K unit.
Addressing media persons at Shiv Sena Party's Central Office Jammu today, Manish Sahni, president J&K, said that false and misleading news has been published and circulated by the above media organizations demanding the restoration of Article 370 on his name. Sahni said that on March 21, the aforesaid media houses have published this fact-less news citing the demonstration in Bari Brahmana area of Jammu demanding restoration of statehood.
Taking strict cognizance, as per the instructions of Party's National Secretary and MP Anil Desai, a legal notice has been served to both the media institutions by the Party's J&K unit.
Sahni said that due to increasing popularity of the party chief, who is also the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and Party's J&K unit by highlights people's issues, BJP and the Godi media are making full efforts to mislead the people through wrong propaganda on the name of Shiv Sena.
Sahni, speaking on the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, said that it was the dream of Hindu Hriday Samrat and Party's Founder Bala Saheb Thackeray that Article 370 should be removed from Jammu and Kashmir.
Sahni said that the party's state unit had welcomed the removal of Article 370 by distributing sweets and beating drums.
Sahni said that Shiv Sena has demanded the return of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, which was promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on the floor of the House.
