REASI, Mar 25: Continuing drive against drug abuse in the holy town Katra, Today team of Police Station Katra laid a surprise naka at Police Check Post Nomain, During Checking apprehended one Drug Peddler namely Sham Lal S/O Des Raj R/O Kela Govindgarh Amritsar at present Railway road katra and recovered 200 Gms Ganja from his possession while he was coming towards Katra from Domail by foot.
In this regard, a case FIR No 89/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Katra and investigations initiated to unearth forward and backward linkages.
In another incident team of police Station Ransoo arrested a woman bootlegger and recovered 03 litres of illicit liquor from her possession.
Woman identified as Neelam Devi W/O Rattan Lal R/O Theru,Tehsil-Pouni got arrested alongwith illicit liquor.
In this regard Case FIR 05/2022 u/s 48(a)Excise Act registered in PS Ransoo.
Amit Gupta JKPS Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi while sharing the details conveyed that Reasi Police is working on multipronged strategy to deal with the problem of drug abuse and will leave no stone unturned to curb this menace from the society. |
