Police arrest drug peddler intoxicated with students

Jammu, Mar 25: Taking strong note of a viral video of a college students including two girls in which they could be seen in intoxicated, Doda Police finally managed to arrested the suspected drug peddler and sent him to preventive custody in Bhaderwah Jail.
Senior police officials told the Early Times, that few days back a video goes viral on social media in which a boy along with his companion (girls) seems to be in intoxicated condition. Later on the boy was identified as Muzaif Qureshi S/O Mohd Iqbal Qurashi R/O Iqbal Colony Bhaderwah, a student of GDC Bhaderwah. The said boy according to senior police officials has been booked by Police Station Bhaderwah under section 110 CrPC and produced before the Executive Magistrate 1st Class Bhaderwah, from where he was sent into preventive custody. Doda Police advised the general public to be aware about the where abouts of their School and College going kids.
The official sources said that the two girls who were also in intoxicated condition were also summoned and was subjected to proper counselling before they were handed over to the family.
Meanwhile several people hail the efforts of Doda police in curbing the drug menace from the District including Bhaderwah, however the people shows disappointment over allowing the girls to go Scot free.
“Law is equal for all- the action must also be initiated against the two girls who also could be seen in the video” said the locals added that the police should investigate the arrested youth for his links with drug paddlers who supplied the drugs to youths including girls in the area.
The people also hail the whistleblower girl who captured the video and brought the matter to public and called upon the police and administration to reward the whistleblower so that more people could get encouraged to unmask the drug gangs active in the area.
